One of the things I strive to do as a life transformation coach, is to deliver and explain what I do in terms that most people new to coaching can understand and comprehend.

For somebody looking to get coached it can be incredibly confusing in not only working out what coaching is all about, but in also finding the right coach and approach for you.

There are so many approaches and methodologies in the coaching world - and a lot of approaches labelled as coaching are simply not coaching. The term coach is often misunderstood - even by the coaches who are promoting themselves as such.

Throughout this website i've deliberately compared and contrasted some approaches (mentoring, consulting, therapy etc) to help you get to a closer understanding of what coaching is, what it isn't, and how it can work for you.

But what do you do when you are faced with so many explanations of what coaching is and how it can be applied?

For example are you really going to know what Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is if a coach is practicing from that model? What about Transactional Coaching? Ontological Coaching? Brain Coaching? Appreciative Inquiry? Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?...etc etc!!!

Clearly there are degrees of coaching, and now many professionals in other fields are using some of the coaching techniques to help them further develop themselves and their businesses.

That all said, i've created a video for you to give you a little more understanding of how I work as a coach.

This video talks about my coaching approach and my personally developed coaching model - The INSTINCT Model. This is by no means a complete explanation of what I do and how I do it, but it may give you a better understanding of coaching, and what is important to me as a coach.
